High-flow nasal cannula oxygen therapy (HFNC) weaning practices
I am writing to request your participation in an online survey of high-flow nasal cannula oxygen therapy (HFNC) weaning practices in the United Kingdom. Although HFNC has become an established mode of respiratory support in paediatric patients, there is limited literature on how best to wean and discontinue the treatment.
The purpose of this survey will be to summarise current weaning practices in the UK and to identify facilitators and barriers to HFNC weaning. This is part of an MSc project I am carrying out with Imperial College London.
To be eligible to participate, you must be a health professional involved in monitoring and weaning of HFNC in paediatric patients. Consent is voluntary and all responses are anonymised. Please read the attached Participant Information Sheet for further information about this study. We welcome as many responses as possible from each paediatric unit.
Exposure to Drugs or Alcohol in Pregnancy
Dear all, following our last GAPRUKI meeting where Hilina presented her survey, we would be grateful if you could take the time to complete her survey. Thank you for taking the time to participate in this questionnaire part of my MRes project at UCL, Institute of Child Health. This questionnaire considers the aspects of screening for potential alcohol and/or drug use in pregnancy and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) in the UK.
Antibiotic prophylaxis in Respiratory and ENT conditions
Thank you to everyone who has participated so far in the survey on long-term antibiotic prophylaxis in respiratory and ENT conditions which we shared late last year. For those who haven't yet had a chance to respond, the deadline has now been extended to 1st March 2026.
We would be grateful for your participation in a short, anonymous survey on current prescribing practices for long-term (6 weeks or longer) oral or nebulised antibiotic prophylaxis in paediatric respiratory and ENT conditions!
The survey takes no longer than 10 minutes to complete. This project has been registered as a clinical practice evaluation. Responses will be kept anonymous and pooled results will be published.
We would be grateful for your response. A certificate of participation will be provided at the end of the survey.
